Kroenen from Hellboy has always been one of my favorite movie characters.
I actually won a suit — Hero #1, baby! — in one of Propstore’s auctions specifically to build this display.
The faceplate of the mask is a cast taken from a stunt mask, while the back of the head was scratch-built by me.
The hard parts of the vest are castings made from my original production patterns. For the soft parts, I commissioned a leatherworker. I traced my original vest and sent him the templates to achieve the best possible accuracy.
To add a little extra detail, I also used various clockwork parts to recreate the mechanism inside the chest plates.
For the display itself, I printed a full-size articulated mannequin, allowing me to change the pose whenever I want.
Definitely one of my favorite pieces in the collection.
