The T600 Arm was originally intended as a little side project.
But things escalated a little J
The 3D model was done by Lee Yee Pei with some amendments by Nico Möbius.
All prints for the arm were also done by Nico, the bases were print in PETG by David Klakus.
Counter weights were cut out of 20mm steel and powder coated.
Because a lot of sanding and prepping was involved, my wife Simone lend me a hand.
She also sprayed the 2K high gloss black on all parts except the base that was needed for the chroming process.
I added texture by hand using a mixture of 2K auto body putty and fine sand.
The final paintjob for the arm included several layers.
1) Texture spray
2) 2K Auto body texture
3) 2K gloss black
4) Phantomchrome
5) Flesh color, heavily thinned
6) Four different oil colors for the rust effects and spatter
The hand and pistons got a treatment of hairspray after the chrome and then black acrylic paint which was partly removed with a watered stiff brush.
