The Hydrobot from Terminator Salvation was built from 2014 to 2016.
As with a lot of the big projects, I needed some off time during the build to do some smaller stuff which gave me quicker results.
I used the 1/6 Hot Toys Hydrobot as a basic reference for upscaling the parts, but details were taken from various reference pictures and screenshots.
Only two big parts were drawn in cad and lasercut.
Andy Scholl did the drill in 3D and printed it in filament.
All the other stuff was handmade as you can see below.
My beloved wife made the center claws out of a hunk of auto body putty.
Now – where to put that 2,40m monster???
